Massive and masculine this occurs on a strictly geometrical basic shape reduced cutlery. Carl Pott created it originally on behalf of citizens of Cologne, who donated it to their city as council silver. Like no other pottery cutlery, the design is in the formal tradition of the Bauhaus. In keeping with the monumental appearance, the fork has five prongs. The elegant sweep of the wide, heavy handles is striking.
